BMW 530e iPerformance - Charged Up Performance

As the race to electrification speeds up, car companies are busy introducing electrified vehicles to the market. At the moment, BMW has taken the lead in terms of offering electrified vehicles, seeing that the Munich-based company currently offers nine electrified vehicles globally, far more than any other premium manufacturer. By 2025, BMW foresees that electrified vehicles will account for between 15% to 25% of their global sales.

Brilliant German driving machine

The best car I've ever driven in it's class. The ride is so comfortable, the power is astonishing. The reaction I get from people when I tell them I get 1200km from a full tank of diesel is just priceless!

The Ultimate Driving Machine

I have had a wonderful many years driving the Bayerische Motoren Werke F10. Having not bought the high end 528i or the M5, I initially thought that I was not going to have that much fun in my car. How wrong I was. Having gradually promoted myself from a few Protons to a Toyota and finally the Beemer, I could immediately feel a real difference. The feel of the car, the design, the comfort and the driving performance was immediately evident. I have not had first hand experience with the safety features of the car, I'm grateful for that, but it has always given me comfort to know that they are there if needed. The drive train is incredible and the gearshift so smooth as if it isn't even there. The manual shift if chosen is amazing giving unbelievable power and control, though not so economical. But definitely gives you a feel of being on the race track. Overall, I have absolutely enjoyed my time in the car and definitely would consider another beemer when the time comes for a change.

BMW more reliable than a Japanese D-class sedan?

The premise of my statement stems from my actual ownership experience, features, driving dynamics and performance, to a similar or much newer Japanese D-class sedan, be it in price of maintenance costs. I have owned my bmw for over a year now, and i bought it used, from a dealer with 85k mileage on the odometer. My comparison is with my previous car, a 2010 nissan teana j32 250xv..which i have owned for five years, and bought used with 19k on the odometer, and clocked up to 75k mileage, before selling it. With the Nissan, in my 5 years of ownership, i have done the following: Complete suspension componentry change Complete cooling system change Complete Ecu, tcu, bcm, push start and steering lock sensor change Upgraded the brake lines and added an external auto trans oil cooler.. All of which amounting close to rm4XK... In comparison with my 2007 e60 BMW 523i, the following wear and tears were changed: Complete suspension system change with german oem items Prop shaft bushes change with oem items Cooling system expansion tank, hoses, water pump, thermostat etc change New battery change Rear mirror rubber seal change Pump and regulator change etc All amounting close to rm2xk cost. And in terms of handling, BMW throunces the Nissan .. Engine performance, BMW's N52 straight six beats the Nissan vq25 v6 hands down..in terms of outright acceleration, torque and power delivery.. Safety features..Bmw has dtc traction control, abs, ebd, 8 airbags etc..throunces Nissan's 4 airbag count, vsc, abs ebd..etc In short , the BMW is a perfect all rounder package and good value purchase for the budget driven motorist..

BMW's timeless sedan - the E39

BMW's timeless sedan which proved difficult to replace, even with the newer E60 and F10 models. BMW enthusiasts would forever regard it as one of the best sedans to have come out from Munich. My car has been daily beaten for 5 years and has proved to be reliable and robust (albeit having spent a fair amount initially to get everything sorted). Twisty B roads or long highway trips, it is balanced perfectly and cruises rock steady at high speeds, unlike any other Japanese sedan even by today's standards. Albeit the slightly dated interior and exterior design, the lack of many high end latest safety features, slightly sluggish performance for its displacement, it is a RM10k+ car with a value hard to beat.
