2018 Ford Mondeo
The Ford Mondeo is sold here in a sole variant equipped with a 2.0-litre Ecoboost and a price tag of RM200,388. Ford’s D-segment competes with the likes of Volkswagen Passat, Kia Optima, Mazda 6, Honda Accord, Peugeot 508, Nissan Teana, and Toyota Camry.
Powering the Mondeo is the marque's turbocharged 2.0-litre (TiVCT) EcoBoost engine that outputs a total of 240 PS and 345 Nm of torque.
Torque vectoring (individual braking applied into the inner wheel while accelerating out of a corner) ensures the Mondeo stays in the corners as directed by the driver.
Power is sent to the front wheels via a SelectShift six-speed torque converter automatic transmission, while the car is poised to return fuel consumption figure of 8.0-litres per 100km.
Standard features include Adaptive LED headlamps, powered front seats, driver's seat with memory, Ford SYNC2 infotainment with a 8-inch touch screen and 9 speakers, lane departure warning, and 17-inch wheels with 235/50R17 tyres.
As with all the Ford passenger cars, the imported Ford Mondeo is offered with a five-year warranty or a 200,000km bumper-to-bumper new vehicle warranty.
Also, all Ford passenger vehicles sold in Malaysia, including the new Ford Mondeo, comes with Ford’s Extended Service Plan (ESP). Ford’s ESP is a free three-year or 60,000km maintenance program that covers parts and labour free of charge. The plan also covers free replacements for selected wear-and-tear items such as spark plugs, shock absorbers, engine belts, brake pads, and wiper blades.
