The Lexus RX has its roots traced back as the pioneer of the luxury crossover segment. It was designed to combine the refinement of a luxury car with the high driving position and versatility of four-wheel drive technology.
Now in its fourth generation, the Lexus RX offers more technology, comfort and performance than ever. The increased in wheelbase has improved legroom tremendously for the second row occupants. Ride and handling now is more sophisticated, with the addition of the adaptive variable suspension that smoothens out rough patches and flattens cornering.
The RX line starts with the RX 300. It shares the same 8AR-FTS 2-litre turbocharged petrol engine as the Lexus IS 300 and NX 300. Power is sent to the all four wheels via the same 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Power output is 235 hp, matched by 350 Nm of torque from 1,650 rpm to 4,000 rpm.
The higher range RX 350 is powered by a 3.5-litre naturally aspirated V6 that pushes out 295 hp at 6,300 rpm and 370 Nm of torque. Power is transferred to all four wheels via an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
The RX 350 L is the latest addition to the RX family, where Lexus have lengthen the vehicle by 120 millimetres to accommodate a third row of seats, making it a 7-seater luxury SUV. The third row offers good space for adults up to 1.6-meters tall. Occupants back here even get their own air conditioning vents and a control panel for blower speed and temperature (third zone control).
In line with the strong visual design of recent Lexus, the RX continues to have an aggressive front design with a large ‘spindle’ grille. Inside however, the RX maintains its high standards of what a Lexus is all about. Quiet, high levels of craftsmanship elevates the ambience above its rivals.

Review: 2020 Lexus RX300 F Sport - What A Magic Carpet Ride
While the exterior looks sporty, the interior is classy. Everything just seems to have that extra air of lushness to it. The dashboard is soft to touch, the roof liner is as smooth as velvet, seats are comfortable and supportive, and the buttons, stalks and knobs are all nicely weighted. Even the radio's volume button rotates nicely.View full review
