Overview
The MINI Clubman dubbed as the 'six-door' wagon by the carmaker rides on BMW Group's UKL2 platform that also underpins cars such as the BMW 2-Series Active Tourer and X1. Priced between RM203,888 and RM253,888, this English wagon is offered here in two variants.
Powering the Clubman family is the familiar MINI TwinPower Turbo engines. A 1.5-litre three-cylinder mill, producing 136hp at 4,400rpm and 220Nm at 1,250rpm powers the base model Clubman. Paired to a six-speed Steptronic automatic transmission, it is claimed to return a fuel consumption figure of 5.4-litres per 100km.
The range topper on the other hand features a 2.0-litre four-pot that is good for 192hp at 5,000rpm and 280Nm of torque at 1,250rpm. Power is sent to the front wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox. With this, the Clubman S can complete the century sprint in 7.1 seconds, before topping off at 228km/h. Fuel consumption is rated at 5.9-litres per 100km.
