The Perodua Alza is a three-row seven seater compact people carrier that comes in five variants with prices ranging from RM50,648 to RM62,889. Based on Toyota Passo Sette, this Malaysia-only model rivals cars like the Proton Ertiga, Toyota Avanza and Honda BR-V
The only engine choice is a naturally aspirated 3SZ-VE 1.5-litre unit. Power output is rated at 103 PS at 6,000rpm and 136Nm of torque at 4,400rpm. The Perodua Alza can be opted with either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic transmission.
Standard features across the range includes full bodykit, 15-inch alloy wheels wrapped with 185/55 series rubbers, projector type headlamps, turn signal integrated side mirrors, LED rear lamps, multi information display, split folding rear seats, a four speaker audio system and reverse sensors.
Reserved for the range topping Alza Advanced are bells and whistles such as power retractable side mirrors, black leather wrapped interior, reverse camera, roof mounted monitors, and a multimedia system with navigation.
In terms of safety all five Perodua Alza variants come equipped with two front airbags, seat belt pre-tensioners, ISOFIX child restraint system for the second row seats and seat belt warning buzzers. ABS with Electronic Brake-force Distribution and Brake Assist are only available on the higher-spec SE and Advanced versions.
All new Perodua Alza models are backed by a 5-year/150,000 kilometre (whichever comes first) new vehicle warranty.
