2018 Proton Exora
The evergreen Proton Exora continues to offer Malaysians the choice of an affordable, spacious, yet decent to drive seven-seater MPV. First launched in 2008, the Exora has received a number of updates over the years to keep itself fresh and relevant to the market.
The Executive is priced at RM65,703 while the Executive Plus is at RM73,482, on-the-road without insurance.
Both variants are powered by the carmaker’s turbocharged CFE engine that is good for 138 bhp and 205 Nm of torque from 2,000 rpm to 4,000 rpm. This engine is solely available with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
The updates on the new Exora revolve mainly around cosmetics actually – featuring new wheels, new Ruby Red paint, LED DRLs, and blacked out components like the roof, side-mirrors, front grille, and rear spoiler which are only in the Executive Plus variant.
Inside, the MPV now comes with a new steering wheel similar to the Preve, a new centre-strip, and a USB port on the floor console.
Executive Plus adds electric folding door mirrors, side door moulding, leather seat covering, 9-inch rear entertainment system with DVD player and SD card slot, cruise control and electronic stability control.

Family MPVs below RM100k Review - Proton Exora, Perodua Alza & Nissan Grand Livina
We love the Proton Exora’s spacious cabin and its user friendly second-row seat’s one-touch seat fold and tumble mechanism. Among the trio, the Exora is the easiest to get into the third-row seats. The Exora is also the only MPV in this segment to come with ESC, so if safety and space is at the top of your list, look no further than the Exora.View full review
