The evergreen Proton Exora continues to offer Malaysians the choice of an affordable, spacious, yet decent to drive seven-seater MPV. First launched in 2008, the Exora has received a number of updates over the years to keep itself fresh and relevant to the market.
The Executive is priced at RM59,800 while the Premium is at RM66,800, on-the-road without insurance. This marks a reduction of RM 2208.24 for the Executive variant and a RM 2,547.41 for the Premium variant (previously known as the Executive Plus).
Both variants are powered by the carmaker’s turbocharged CFE engine that is good for 138 bhp and 205 Nm of torque from 2,000 rpm to 4,000 rpm. This engine is solely available with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
Below are the new features on the updated Exora, though most are limited to the Premium variant:
7-inch touchscreen head unit with GKUI software
‘Hi Proton’ voice command system
New meter cluster with segmented LCD multi-info display
USB charging ports
New seat and door trim upholstery
Rear view mirror with clear plastic bezel
The basic warranty coverage for Proton vehicles is 5 years or 150,000-kilometre mileage, whichever occurs first.

Family MPVs below RM100k Review - Proton Exora, Perodua Alza & Nissan Grand Livina
We love the Proton Exora’s spacious cabin and its user friendly second-row seat’s one-touch seat fold and tumble mechanism. Among the trio, the Exora is the easiest to get into the third-row seats. The Exora is also the only MPV in this segment to come with ESC, so if safety and space is at the top of your list, look no further than the Exora.View full review
